Nilly, Israel

Beautiful and sad pictures, the third one especially touches me, as the family in it looks so pure and innocent, and it is so tragic they are in the middle of this bloody mess. So sad that’s what these beautiful children have to think about instead of normal kids stuff.

Killing civilians is wrong, no matter what shape, colour, race, age, sex, or religion they r, and no matter what political views they hold. That’s why I am appalled by the war in Gaza, and don’t think killing Palestinians in order to protect Israelis, or vice versa, will ever work. Only ending this bloody oppressing, suppressing and depressing occupation will.

But where I come from, the wagon of animosity keeps rolling on wheels of violence lubricated by blood, and run over the lives of all children, women and men who happen to be near by. Sadly, tragic is too small a word to describe this vicious circle. I hope one day it'll end, and the sooner the better, as until then way too many innocents pay the intolerable price of loosing a loved one.

Thank u Leila for these photos, and this blog, u r reflecting our area amazingly.
